In October 2019 Al-Masrawy Online newspaper
published an article that addressed the role of hospice in providing care and
dignity to the terminally ill patients their families, and announced that
Hospice Egypt celebrated the World Hospice Day on Tuesday 15th
October 2019 in the El-Sawy Culture Wheel in Zamalek, Cairo, Egypt from 5 to 9
pm under the slogan "My Right - My care "
The goal of the celebration was to enable
patients who are in their last days to obtain care and live in dignity until
the last minute by providing medical, nursing, psychological, social and
recreational support to patients and their families
The
article added that the celebration included active participation.
