President of the United Arab Emirates Presents Hospice Egypt with First Place Award for Social Responsibility

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, presented Hospice Egypt with the 1st place award for the “H.H. Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Excellence and Community Intelligence Program.” Notably, Hospice Egypt was the only winner from Egypt this year, achieving the award under the category of “Entities Taking Initiative in Supporting and Sponsoring Community Issues.”

Solidifying Hospice Egypt's credibility and strengthening its ability to advocate for terminally-ill patients and their families, this honorary award represents a crucial milestone for regional growth and integration of hospice care. The award also serves as a testament to the thousands of lives Hospice Egypt has impacted and the critical need to continue serving an overlooked segment of patients with compassion and dignity.

For over a decade, Hospice Egypt, a proud national foundation member of the Worldwide Hospice Palliative Care Alliance, has offered invaluable support to terminally-ill patients and their families by bringing the global concept of hospice care to a region where access to such care is limited. Through strategic local and international partnerships, the organization has amassed unparalleled expertise in comprehensive care.

Dr. Tandiar Samir, general manager of Hospice Egypt, received the award and conveyed her heartfelt gratitude. Hospice Egypt tops first place in the Excellence Award for Civil Society Organizations competition

JOSAAB Foundation for social development, the founder of Hospice Egypt won first place of the Excellence Award for Civil Society Organizations competition, received from Professional Development Foundation( PDF) under the auspices of the Ministry of Social Solidarity.

On 26th September 2023, Dr. Nevine El-Kabbaj, Minister of Social Solidarity, handed over the first prize to the Foundation and expressed her gratitude for the Foundation's humanitarian work. The competition included 1200 NGOs and NGOs based on the following criteria: The positive impact of the Foundation on society. Using innovative means and methods to achieve its goals and the ability to continue achieving its mission. Hospice Egypt is unique in providing free of charge hospice services to the terminally ill patients and their families, regardless of socio-economic status, gender or religion with the aim of preserving their dignity and providing them with quality of life till the end


German Embassy Award

In April 2023, Hospice Egypt won an award from the German Embassy in support of its unique and pioneering role in the Egyptian society in serving patients in the late stages of their illness with free of charge Hospice services. The German Ambassador in Egypt, Mr. Frank Hartmann, handed over the award to the Foundation for the purchase of medical devices and medical equipment to serve the terminally ill patients with the needed equipment.


League of Arab States Award

Josaab Foundation for Social Development, which implements the Hospice Egypt project, received the Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Award for the best charitable work in the Arab world for the year 2020 for the category of medium enterprises. The award is provided by the Arab Administrative Development Organization - League of Arab States, an organization that contributes to the service of comprehensive development issues.
