Hospice Egypt Celebrates the World Hospice Day "Because I Matter" 2018

On the 31st of October of the year 2018, Hospice Egypt celebrated the World Hospice Day at Beit Al Sennari cultural and educational center under the theme “Because I Matter”. Among the many precious attendees were the singer Mariam Nouh who has delighted the attendees not only with a medley of beautiful songs but has also expressed her strong faith in the free of charge services provided by Hospice Egypt to the Egyptian community. Among the key speakers was Dr. Mai Al Rakhawy, Ph.D. Child Psychology, who has given an excellent session that tackled how to deal with the needs and questions of children of terminally-ill patients and how to provide support to caregivers in the family. The session under the title “Children and Caregivers of Terminally-ill Patients: Burdens, Psychology and Support” was met with a cascade of positive interactions from the attending crowd. A number of local TV and radio channels were covering the event which helped Hospice Egypt spread the word about hospice services to a bigger audience.
