Hospice Egypt Training Workshop for Energetic Volunteers

Derived from our belief that volunteers are the heart of hospice, A two day induction was held on the 15th and 16th of September 2013 by the Hospice Egypt team. The attendees included Hospice Egypt's mobile hospice volunteers, permanent staff and community leaders. The multi-disciplinary atmosphere stimulated continuously active interaction. The agenda included an introduction about the Hospice Egypt project, what hospice care meant, roles of volunteers, as well communication skills.The training was later enhanced with role plays to emphasize what to do and what not to do during home visits. This enabled an excellent environment for all our highly esteemed volunteers to help them more vividly understand the organization's mission, to stimulate and motivate their spirits; as well as, to get them properly introduced to other team members.
