11 October ,2024 In celebration of the tenth anniversary of the World Health Organization's declaration on the importance of integrating palliative care and hospice into the comprehensive healthcare system for member states, in October 11, 2024, Hospice Egypt, in collaboration with the RX team, organized a charity marathon for World Hospice Day 2024. The event was attended by volunteers, faculty members, students from various Egyptian universities, and featured distinguished journalist Gaber Al-Qarmouty as the guest of honor. The marathon aimed to raise community awareness about the need to provide health and psychological care to patients in advanced stages of illness, uphold the dignity of these patients and their families, and encourage university students to engage in volunteer work. The celebration began at Al-Nahr Park in Zamalek with welcoming remarks from Hospice Egypt and the RX team. Participants then embarked on a three-kilometer race along the Nile on the island.
