Hospice Egypt Attended the Salzburg Global Seminar “Rethinking Care Toward the End of Life”

The seminar included 60 participants from 15 countries. (Health and social care leaders, practitioners, policymakers, and representatives of civil society) Josaab foundation was the only non-governmental organization providing hospice services that represented Egypt at the seminar. The seminar was 5 days and filled with intensive workshops. Some of the main topics were: Engaging patients and families in conversations about how end of life care honors life, how to have a healthy death and the biggest mistakes that people should avoid when building a palliative care system. The Hospice Egypt team networked with global participants and institutions as well as exchanged experiences about end of life care.
