Hospice Egypt collaborated with university student organizations at the faculty of medicine at the Ain Shams University.

On May 17th, 2022; Hospice Egypt’s project team presented an introductory lecture on the concept of hospice in Egypt for students of Ain Shams Medical school in cooperation with the university student organizations AUSSS and KAIZEN inside the Academic Institute for Heart surgery at the Demerdash Hospital. Dr. Rania Younis, team leader, discussed the diverse services provided free of charge to the terminally ill patients and their family members according to the needs of each patient, with the aim of preserving their dignity and privacy and to ease the burdens that the patient is going through at this critical stage of his life These services include:  Medical support and pain management  Psychological support  Social support  Family support after the death of the patient where Hospice Egypt continues for a period ranging from 3 to 6 months in providing psychological support to the patient's family to help them adapt to their new circumstances. This activity is part of the protocol of cooperation between Hospice Egypt and AUSSS.
